The background
Before starting After 5 IT, I spent years working at a managed service provider supporting businesses of all sizes — from five-person offices to multi-location organizations. That experience covered everything from day-to-day helpdesk work to infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, and security rollouts.
What I kept noticing: small businesses and nonprofits often had the same technology problems as larger clients, but without the budget for a full MSP contract or an in-house IT person. They'd either go without support, rely on a family member who "knows computers," or pay for a service contract they didn't fully use.
